Many readers have been happy about the additions of Anthony’s, Bluebird and Cracker Barrel restaurants opening in Coeur d’Alene. We have others to watch for, including Sushi 1 and Grille From Ipanema in Riverstone.

And another is Sweet Lou’s Restaurant and Tap House, which will take over the Grille From Ipanema location downtown, probably in November.

With its locations in the towns of Hope and Ponderay since 2012, Sweet Lou’s offers American lunch and dinner family fare, beers, wines and even S’mores made at your table. With about 40 employees, the Parkside high-rise place (on Front Avenue) will seat 120 indoors and 85 on the covered patio with views of McEuen Park.

Coming from Bonners Ferry and Coeur d’Alene, owners Chad and Meggis Foust named the restaurant after their son Lou. Check www.sweetlousidaho.com.

Bill’s Heating-A.C. adds Fire Place in new place

After 30 years with adding new services and reflecting name changes, Bill’s HVAC has added Bill’s Fire Place in its new location at 9873 Government Way in Hayden. The company started as Bill’s Appliance Repair and added heating and air-conditioning services. It was at 1916 Sherman Ave.

Hearth specialist John Hoffman offers three major brands of hearths, stoves, fireplaces and inserts and has access to 20 more. The front of the building is the showroom with the office and service tech shop nearby.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 to 2 Saturdays. Phone 777-5528. Check www.billsfireplace.com.

New Appleway place to be Pool World

A 13,500-square-foot multi-tenant building to be constructed at 745 W. Appleway (across from U-Haul) will be the new home of Pool World. The building should be done in March, and Pool World will move from 235 Sunset Ave. (next to Home Depot).

The 12-year-old business offers hot tubs, saunas, barbecues and swimming pool products. Kerry and Lyla Henderson started Pool World in 1976 in Spokane Valley. Their aquatic centers include the Valley YMCA and the Davenport Hotel pools. Check www.poolworld.biz.

About 6,400 square feet of the new building will be available for lease and will include a drive-through on the west wall.
