Whitefish has openings on three committees

The city of Whitefish is filling vacancies on three city committees.
The Whitefish Planning Board has one position for a city resident for a term ending Dec. 31, 2017.
The Wisconsin Avenue corridor plan steering committee has three openings, including two at-large positions for Whitefish residents and a position for a residential owner-occupied property owner. The committee will meet as needed through June 1, 2017.
Two spots are open on the city’s impact fee advisory committee.
One position is for a certified public accountant for a term ending December 2017. The other opening is for a member-at-large for a term ending in December 2016. Applicants must live or work within the Whitefish planning jurisdiction.
The committee meets once a year.
Submit a letter of interest to the Whitefish City Clerk’s Office at 1005 Baker Ave. or mail to P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, MT 59937, by Friday, July 8.

Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
