Cd'A teen dies in crash near Ritzville

A Coeur d'Alene teen died as a result of a rollover crash on Interstate 90 near Ritzville, Wash., on Friday night.
According to Washington State Patrol, Joseph B. Best, 17, was a passenger at the time of the crash, headed eastbound in a white 1994 Toyota 4Runner at 9:45 p.m. a mile east of Ritzville. He was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected.
The driver, Ivory J. Pellerin, 22, Post Falls, was wearing a seat belt and transported to East Adams Rural Hospital in Ritzville before being transferred to a Spokane hospital.
According to WSP, Pellerin was passing a semi when she lost control of the 4Runner. The vehicle left the roadway to the left, she overcorrected to the right and the vehicle rolled into the median and came to rest on its wheels.
An investigation continues.
