A Polson Motorcoach Resort employee casually glanced behind him at about noon Thursday and found smoke coming from the resort's burn pile. Normally, the resort would take care of little problems like the burn pile smoke with its own water truck, but the truck was being filled at the time, the employee said.

Polson City firefighters and Polson City Police responded to the scene and made quick work of stamping the fire out.

The employee said that no one lit the fire to his knowledge.
