Sign-up begins for dust-control program
Daily Inter Lake | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 9 years, 4 months AGO
Flathead County residents who own property along county-maintained gravel roads can participate in a cost-share program to have dust control on roads near their land.
Application forms can be downloaded from the county website, http://flathead.mt.gov/roads_bridges, under the “downloads” section in the “forms” folder.
Call the road department office at 758-5790 or stop by the office at 1249 Willow Glen Drive in Kalispell for more information.
Applications are due by 4 p.m. March 18 in the road department.
This year marks the eighth year the county has offered the program, which applies magnesium chloride to some of the county’s dustiest roads.
People must sign up for a minimum stretch of a half-mile of road.
The county splits the cost of the dust-control application with property owners.
The magnesium chloride typically is applied in June.
