SANDPOINT — A Post Falls man’s trial on a vehicular manslaughter charge is being postponed amid ongoing efforts to resolve the case.

Alexander Craig Hjelt was to be tried in Bonner County Magistrate Court later this month, but the proceedings are being postponed by up to three months to see if a resolution can be reached. If the negotiations fall through, a two-day jury trial will be set.

A new trial date is pending.
