Five people were involved in a three-vehicle collision Monday afternoon on Montana 35 north of Bigfork.

Three people were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center — two by Bigfork Fire Department ambulance services and one by a fellow driver.

Around 1:30 on Monday afternoon, a Dodge pickup truck rear-ended a southbound sport utility vehicle waiting to turn left onto a driveway from Montana 35, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Brian Thorne.

The initial collision pushed the SUV into oncoming traffic, where a northbound vehicle struck the SUV’s passenger-side door.

The accident limited traffic to one lane on Montana 35.
