SANDPOINT — Two seniors celebrated four years of superior scholarship Tuesday at the annual Sandpoint High School Valedictorian-Salutatorian Luncheon.

Caroline G. Suppiger, valedictorian for the class of 2016, and Corrine E. McClelland, salutatorian, joined their parents, school officials and Lake Pend Oreille School District Superintendant Shawn Woodward for an intimate lunch in the school office conference room.

Traditionally, the honorees get to choose the local fare for the event, according to Beth Dean, SHS administrative assistant. This year, they went with Joel's Mexican Restaurant.
