Crosstown Craze is not too far away
The Daily Inter Lake | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 8 years, 10 months AGO
The Crosstown Craze all-night party for graduating Kalispell high school seniors is quickly approaching, and fundraising and volunteering efforts are underway to make the celebration a night to remember.
Graduates from Flathead, Glacier and Linderman high schools will have an all-access pass to The Summit for the “World Tour” post-graduation party.
The party will go all night starting at 9 p.m. June 4 and ending at 3 a.m. the next morning for a night of basketball, rock climbing, paddle boarding, Wallyball, sumo wrestling, laser tag and dancing. Students can test their luck on rolling the dice in a casino or rolling around inside a bubble ball during a soccer match.
Every student will go home with a prize, thanks to donations from local business and individuals, and a highlight of the evening is sure to be the grand prize drawing — a vehicle donated by Eisinger Motors in Kalispell.
The Crosstown Craze is a tradition that spans more than 40 years and was initiated by parents to provide a safe, sober environment for students to celebrate their achievements.
More than 300 students are expected to attend the party and tickets are on sale now. Students may purchase tickets to attend the party for $25 during March and will be entered into the grand-prize drawing three times. Tickets purchased in April will cost $30 and gain students two entries. May will be the final opportunity for students to purchase tickets at $35 with one chance to win the vehicle.
Tickets are available for purchase at each school. Tickets may also be purchased online at MySchoolFees.com for an additional surcharge of $2.
Fundraising efforts for the party are currently underway.
Supporters may purchase a 30-day membership to The Summit for $30 with half of the proceeds going to the Crosstown Craze. Passes may be purchased at Universal Sports, Insty Prints and Super 1 Kalispell and Evergreen stores through May 31. Passes are good for 30 consecutive days until July 31. Only one pass may be purchased per person, and buyers must be 18 or older to use.
Donations will also be accepted and are tax deductible. Mail donations to Crosstown Craze 2016, P.O. Box 8313, Kalispell, MT 59904.
The party is possible through the help of more than 100 volunteers. Volunteers are still needed to work two-hour shifts. Volunteers may choose to help with decorating, security, games, prizes, set-up or take-down.
