JUNE 15-18: Outdoor Media Association convention

The Professional Outdoor Media Association is holding its convention in Kalispell on June 15-18.

More than 450 communicators and corporate partners are members of the association, including individual media members such as editors, writers, photographers, broadcasters and publishers, and industry firms and organizations.

The Professional Outdoor Media Association’s mission is to foster professionalism in communications at all levels, help members build their businesses and foster the next generation of traditional outdoor sports communicators. The association is heralded as a cutting-edge, highly technical association focused on educating members so they’re prepared for the radical changes taking place in the communications environment.

Jessica Stugelmayer, a Plains native, and Heather Hintze, a 2003 Whitefish High School graduate were part of the team at Alaska TV station KTVA that recently received a prestigious James Beard Foundation Award for their series “Harvesting Alaska.”
