Bring your Easter baskets and your sense of adventure to these fun-filled Easter egg hunts happening around the Flathead Valley this weekend:

— Why hunt for Easter eggs in your back yard when there is a whole forest to explore? Join Lone Pine State Park staff for an Easter-themed afternoon hike, egg hunt and face painting from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

This event is geared towards children but is open to all members of the family. The hike and egg hunt will begin at the Lone Pine Picnic Pavilion. Bring your own bag. The lucky hiker who finds the golden egg will receive a special prize.

The cost is $4 per participant.

For more information, call the park visitor center at 755-2706.

Lone Pine State Park is 5 miles southwest of Kalispell on Lone Pine Road off of Foy’s Lake Road.

— Flathead Shelter Friends sponsors its fourth annual Easter egg hunt Saturday at Woodland Park in Kalispell.

Children 11 and under will gather at the park’s large pavilion. The hunt will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and will feature great prizes and free pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Flathead Shelter Friends is a nonprofit organization supporting the Flathead County Animal Shelter.

— Flathead Lake Brewing Co. in Bigfork is hosting an Easter Ales and Tales event Saturday.

An Easter egg hunt will take place at 3 p.m. Then at 3:30 p.m., children can meet the Easter bunny and enjoy a reading of classic Easter stories.

The pubhouse will feature $2 pints of its newest spring beer, Bluff Charge Oatmeal Pale, during “Hoppy Hour” from 3 to 6 p.m. along with other specials.

Flathead Lake Brewing Co. is located at 116 Holt Drive.

— The Kalispell Nazarene Church hosts an Easter egg hunt for children up through third grade beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. The church is located at 1295 Whitefish Stage Road.

— The Columbia Falls Lions Club is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday at Marantette Park in Columbia Falls.

The park will be divided into sections by age group. This will give even the littlest egg hunters a chance to fill their baskets.

The Columbia Falls Lions Club is part of the International Lions Club that works toward providing eye exams and glasses for children and adults.

Thousands of local children are screened yearly though the efforts of the valley Lions Clubs. The Columbia Falls Lions Club also sponsors a summer concert series and a burger stand during Columbia Falls Heritage Days.

— Hope Church will host its fourth annual Easter Egg drop along with a community Easter Church service Sunday at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will include a helicopter flying over the fairgrounds dropping thousands of Easter eggs for kids to collect

Children of different ages will be grouped to give all youths fair opportunities to get eggs.

Last year approximately 1,300 people attended the event where more than 4,000 eggs were picked up within a few minutes of hitting the ground.

This year the church plans to distribute 6,000 eggs.

New this year, Hope Church will add a Kids Ministry for ages nursery up to fifth grade, as well as coffee and food vendors for the event. A drawing will also be held at the end of service for an iPad and two Kindle Fires.

Pastor Lance Dannie says this is a special community Easter service open to everyone.

The egg drop and Easter egg run will take place immediately following the service.
