Charges have been dropped against a transient teenager who had been accused of stabbing someone at the Blue and White Motel on Sept. 13, 2015.

An assault-with-a-weapon charge against Brian Michael Sasser, 18, was dropped Monday as part of an agreement where Sasser confessed in Flathead District Court to misdemeanor criminal mischief for vandalizing Columbia Falls High School on Sept. 22, 2014.

According to court documents, Sasser was identified by a witness and the victim as the person who stabbed another man and lacerated his colon on Sept. 13.

The plea agreement calls for Sasser to be on probation until age 22 for the vandalism charge, although a judge could impose the sentence until he turns 25.

Sasser was one of two teens who shot out windows and put graffiti on the walls of Columbia Falls High School. The pair caused more than $7,400 in damage.

Sasser’s co-defendant Austin Gostnell is awaiting trial.
