Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is excited to welcome Alexa Kaftan to the CPMC management team. Alexa has joined the medical center as the new Manager of Food & Nutrition, and will be overseeing the Food Services Department & River Rock Café, as well as the Diabetes & Nutrition Department.

Alexa is a registered dietitian with a four year degree from Central Washington University and a one year internship, which included sites in Washington State, as well as in the Tuscany of Italy.

Alexa comes to Libby from Seattle, Wash., where she worked as a prep cook at Microsoft while she was wrapping up her internship and studying for her final exam.  “My career has been that of a whirlwind,” she stated.  “Right after I passed my test, I was called by a Thomas Cuisine recruiter and within less than a week, I was talking to my future reporting official, Ahyoung.”

Ahyoung Huff, Director of Ancillary and Support Services at Cabinet Peaks, is happy Alexa is joining the team.  “I’m very excited to have Alexa on board.  Her passion for food, nutrition and people will help us ensure that our patients and customers will have an exceptional culinary experience.  Alexa comes with great enthusiasm and drive, and I look forward to her contributions to CPMC.”

Alexa is looking forward to making even more positive changes at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. “The biggest project I will be rolling out is Unit Host which will be an awesome improvement for the patient experience at Cabinet Peaks,” she stated.

Alexa moved to Libby with her boyfriend.  They love to bake, cook, hike and throw darts together. “Thank you to the community for being so welcoming. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all,” Alexa added.
