GOLF: Bigfork second at Seeley-Swan Invite

SEELEY LAKE — Bigfork senior Joseph Potkonjak carded a 1-under-par 71 to lead the Vikings to a second place finish at the Seeley-Swan Invitational at Double Arrow Golf Course on Tuesday.

The Carroll-bound Potkonjak finished second overall, one shot behind 2014 Class A state champion Caleb Stetzner of Anaconda. Bigfork wound up behind team champion Missoula Loyola, which boasted the third (Bucky Crippen, 72) and fourth-place (Thomas Sellman, 77) finishers. The Rams won the event with a combined score of 234, 13 shots better than the Vikings.

Jonathan Landon (86) and Jacob Haberlock (90) were the other two scoring golfers for Bigfork.

Ronan (304) won the girls team title and Jade LeDeaux of Plains shot a 95 to claim individual medalist honors.
