Montana Department of Transportation officials said that road construction to the junction of U.S. Highway 2 and Montana Highway 40 at the intersection by the Blue Moon Nite Club should be complete by the end of May.
However, this summer, road work will return with a chip seal treatment on the highways.
As weather permits, construction will continue over the next month with concrete work, replacement of traffic signals and paving. Traffic impacts may vary based on what area the work crews are working on, said Lori Ryan, MDT public information officer. Single lane traffic will be in place throughout the paving of the intersection.
