The Fourth of July will be here before you know it!

Gary Leonard, is in charge of the of the annual event. It is essential to start fundraising now for their $6,000 budget.

The experience is one of a kind in North Idaho; a parade that starts at 5 p.m., the Lions Club has a family fun night between and the fireworks starting at 10 p.m. The color guard will be presented by the Border Patrol Explorers.

In 2012, when Leonard took over the event, music was added to the program. This year will also see the return of the "potato gun".

Parks and Recreation will also have refreshments.

Leonard was grateful for the previous years’ large donators: Mountain West Bank, Rotary Club, ProX, Super 1, and P1FCU.

Anyone interested in assisting with fundraising, organizing, and website development please contact Gary Leonard at 208-946-9579 or P.O Box 1714 Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.
