The Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn has been awarded the Best Western Director’s Award for superior achievement in quality standards for the fourth year in a row. The Director’s Award recognizes Best Western hotels scoring in the top 20 percent of more than 2,400 North American properties in cleanliness and maintenance. Hotels must also meet Best Western’s requirements for design and high customer service scores to qualify for the distinction.

The Best Western Plus Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa is owned by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho and operated by Hagadone Hospitality. “This wonderful award is a tribute to the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho’s commitment to keeping their facilities in tip-top condition and the superb effort of all the team members,” says Jerry Jaeger, president of Hagadone Hospitality. “It’s also the perfect illustration of the team’s desire to be the best.”

Since first opening in 1986, the Inn has undergone several expansions and updates to become the first-class facility it is today.

It is symbol of pride for Tribal members as well as an economic boon.

It’s fitting that it directly represents this through a commitment to superior cleanliness, design and customer service – all the components for earning the Director’s Award.

Located at 7169 Plaza Street in Bonners Ferry, the Inn features 101 rooms, an onsite restaurant and lounge, spa, banquet and meeting facilities, business center, an indoor heated swimming pool, sun deck, and fitness center. The location is central to many exciting community events. Guests staying at the hotel also enjoy being close to year-round outdoor recreation opportunities.

•The Best Western Kootenai River Inn Casino and Spa is owned by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho and managed by the Hagadone Hospitality Company. In addition to receiving the Best Western Director’s Award from 2012-2016, the hotel was awarded the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014 and 2015. It also received the Best Western Champion Award in 2013. Learn more at kootenairiverinn.com
