On April 29, The Press carried a story “Commissioner faces permit violation” referring to Commissioner David Stewart not having a proper building permit for a pole barn in which he has been living since 2006. Has Stewart resolved the permit violations? If not, what is the status?

For me, a taxpayer, I believe each and every property owner should be fairly assessed and pay their taxes. The Press article portrays Mr. Stewart out-of-touch with the fairness issue when avoiding property taxes.
