The Glacier Twins A struggled to get any consistent offense going in a pair of non-conference American Legion baseball losses to the Bitterroot Red Sox A over the weekend.

Glacier could only push three runs across the plate in game 1 on Saturday, despite getting 10 hits.

The Red Sox pulled away in the late frames for the 8-3 victory.

Colten Parker had three hits and Derek Kastella doubled twice to lead Glacier on offense.

In Sunday’s rematch, the Red Sox scored runs in the seventh and eighth innings to clip Glacier 3-1.

James Sampson’s two-out double pushed Tristin Steinwand across the dish to even the score at 1-1 in the third.

The Red Sox regained the lead on a bases-loaded walk in the seventh.

Glacier’s Tyler Murphy threw six innings from the mound and allowed four hits and one run.

Sampson recorded two hits to go along with one RBI.

Glacier opens conference play May 14 at the Bitterroot Bucs in Florence.
