Candidates for the local elective offices up for vote in the Idaho primary election will be on the stage at today’s candidates’ forum Wednesday at the Sandpoint High School auditorium.

The forum will run 5:30-8 p.m.

The forum also will be streamed live online. The live stream will include a chat function for those watching online to interact and also post questions for the candidates. To watch online, click to www.sandpointelections.com to link into the live stream.

All candidates in both Republican and Democratic races have been invited; the races include Idaho Legislative District 1 and District 7 House and Senate; Bonner County Commissioner; and Bonner County sheriff.

Not all races are contested, so after brief opening statements by all candidates on the ballot, questions will be posed only for candidates in contested primary races.

The Idaho primary is Tuesday, May 17.
