SANDPOINT — It’s a crazy busy week with the Randy Liedtke comedy show on Saturday, Patrick McManus comedies over the weekend, contra dance Friday, dinner concerts, film festivals and a whole lot more.

Thursday, May 12

‘The Conversation’ — Jason Wiley, Sandpoint Parks & Recreation

Venue: Ivano’s Ristorante Italiano, 102 S. First Ave.

Learn more about the collaborative effort with the city of Sandpoint on Sundays at Farmin Park this spring and summer called ‘The Sunday Celebration.’ Come meet Jason Wiley, who will speak on how he is supporting our artist community, and take this opportunity to share your insights with him on how we can make this a better event.

Live music will be provided by Out of Nowhere, with Nancy Staub calling. Previous dancing experience is not necessary. First-time dancers are encouraged to arrive on time for an introductory dance at 7 pm. Bring clean, comfortable, non-marking shoes to dance in.

‘A Fine & Pleasant Misery’ Patrick McManus Comedy

Venue: Pend Oreille Playhouse, 236 S. Union St., in Newport, Wash.

Starring Pat’s indentured actor, Tim Behrens, this one-man show introduces 12 zany McManus characters. The McManus comedies are family friendly, hilarious stories about growing up in rural America.

Feeding Leroy is an alt-country/folk band from Duluth, Minn., playing acoustic, original tunes as well as some choice covers, all with vocal harmonies and a gospel undertone.
