Jeff Miller of the Sherwin-Williams Paint Store on W. Idaho paints the office at the Conrad Mansion on Thursday, May 12. There are two Kalispell Sherwin-Williams locations, W. Idaho and near Super 1 Foods, and they partnered to donate paint, supplies and labor to take care of a make over of both the office and the gift shop at the Conrad Mansion. Their combined community service project is part of the National Paint Week in which Sherwin-Williams stores across the country choose service projects to benefit their local communities. According to Miller work began on Thursday and they expect to be mostly wrapped up on Friday. For this particular project the stores went with a flat paint, for historic accuracy, and were also highly careful in dealing with all of the wood trim. The make over comes at a perfect time for the Mansion said Gennifer Sauter, executive director. The Mansion is currently preparing to open for their tour season which begins on Sunday, May 15 and will continue until October 15. For the first month the Mansion will be open Wednesday through Sunday. In the height of the season, beginning mid-June the Mansion will be open to tours Tuesday through Sunday. The Mansion is getting cleaned up and readied for the public tours coming off their most well attended Death By Chocolate ever. (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
