1. North Idaho needs a representative focused on the job here in Idaho, not in Washington, D.C., and not at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge. Idahoans need to be the priority. I believe we need effective leadership to bring balance to our political process and to give every Idahoan an opportunity to create a positive future for themselves and their families.

2. My life experiences, professional expertise, skills, political philosophy and understanding of the issues uniquely qualify me to represent our North Idaho community. I have a successful career in business management that I know I can leverage to create rational solutions to the problems faced by Idaho and District 1. Experience in bringing people together to create innovative solutions to complex problems.

3. Low Living wages — Too many working poor struggling to just get by, earning more than poverty level, but earning less than the basic cost of living in the county.

Education — Lack of funding for providing opportunities for post-high school and beyond, creating workforce ready employees. Idaho needs innovative ways to accomplish the State Board of Education’s goal that 60 percent of young Idahoans will hold an industry-recognized credential, certificate or degree.

4. Currently working with local businesses, educators and institutions to create viable working solutions for people of all ages to gain post-high school education and training that will qualify them for better paying jobs. Addressing both the low living wages issue and education.

5. I worked on behalf of everyone in my district. My opponent in this race and others running are failing to listen and no longer understand how hard things are for working people and middle class Idahoans. They spend their time and our money on unfounded fears like the United Nations and Sharia Law.

6. Low lving wages — Too many working poor earning more than the poverty level, but earnting less than the basic cost of living in the county.

Education — This is the foundation for our future and generations to come. Post-secondary education is the key to growing our economy and qualifying the workforce for better-paying jobs.

Access to Health Care — 78,000 Idahoans are without access to affordable medical insurance.

7. Living wages – Connect Idaho’s student to training or education that qualifies them for better paying jobs.

Education — Work to increase funding for education in Idaho and leave ‘49th’ behind. Innovative solutions to increasing the number of Idahoans with industry-recognized credentials, certificates and degrees that qualify them for better- paying jobs that go un- filled today.

Ac- cess to Health Care — Sup-port Medi-caid expansion — making our tax money for all of us. Work to create solutions that lower our income taxes and property taxes while extending health- care to our working class.

8. Researching and reading information on the issues at hand, attending a multitude of meetings, representing my constituents effectively.

9. Giving a strong voice and effective leadership for North Idaho and helping create positive change for Idahoans now and for the future.

10. Low living wages and education — same as above

Currently working with local businesses, educators and institutions to create viable working solutions for people of all ages for post-high school education. Addressing both the low living wages issue and education.

11. Broadband Connectivity – Idaho lacks a consistent level of broadband connectivity throughout the state, which continues to hinder effective economic development and job creation. I would like to create incentives for investment by existing providers to bridge this gap.

12. My participation in the Angels Over Sandpoint Follies. Our organization has zero overhead, meaning we volunteers do all the work.

In 17 years we have given away $1.3 million to those in need and filled over 12,000 backpacks for school children.

13. Get out and vote! This year more than ever your vote counts. I had a veteran tell me the best way for all of us to support the troops is to get out and vote. That’s what he fought for and brave individuals are still fighting for.

14. Question: What does leadership mean to you?

Answer: When elected representative for District 1, I pledge to focus on the issues of our state as defined by the Constitution of the great state of Idaho and the United States. A leader takes in all information and makes the best decision affecting those they represent. An effective leader knows it’s not about sides, it’s about coming together and creating solutions based on broad input from all concerned, representing even those who disagree with us because that is what a leader does.
