MATTAWA — Wahluke High School had its final match of the SCAC golf season last week, and two of the girls posted eye-popping scores, compared to their previous bests.

No Wahluke girl had scored under 120 this year. Esmeralda Lagunas dropped to 113. Daniella Mendoza lowered her score to 118.

“I was pleased with the Warriors’ performance today,” Coach Tiffany Hedman said.

On the boys side of things, Pedro Mendoza had a personal best of 118. He lopped off 19 shots from his previous score.

The medalist for the boys, at 70, was Cle Elum’s Nick Baker. The medalist for the girls was Victoria McCollum of Highland with 87.

The remaining two Wahluke girls were Itzel Guerrero with 140 and Najavy Ramirez with 154.
