Troy's Opland dominates boys' track divisionals

Sean Opland was a bright spot for Troy’s track team Saturday at the District 7B competition, capturing first place in five events in the Trojans’ last-place district finish. Olivia Roach was the only Lady Trojan to place top-five in the meet, claiming third in the triple jump.

Opland won the three short-distance runs, with times of 11.39 in the 100, 23.11 in the 200 and 51.14 in the 400. He also won the high jump with a mark of 6’0” and the javelin with 160’01”.

Roach hit 31.11 in the triple jump.
