Betty Jean Ault, born June 29, 1928, peacefully passed May 13, 2016, at age 87.

Betty worked as a dental assistant for many years in Eugene, Oregon. She was very active in Beta Sigma Phi for many decades in Oregon and Montana. Betty was also very involved and active in her church.

Betty ”joins” her husband Jim of 66 wonderful years together, who passed away Sept. 10, 2015, and their beautiful daughter Christine Marie Dresser, who passed away Oct. 12, 2003; along with her father, mother and sister — “A beautiful reunion in heaven.”

Betty is survived by her son, James Warren Ault; granddaughter, Kimberly Jean Langdon and husband Tony, great-grandson Wyatt, and beloved family dog Rufus.

Betty lived a rich and full life with stories and memories that would make the whole family sit around in anticipation for the stories being told. Her quick wit and great sense of humor made for interesting conversation between her and her great-grandson Wyatt. They would often argue about who loved the other one more.

Wyatt points out that heaven just became a cleaner place because Grandma was always cleaning something. Even if she was unable to get around, her hands would be busy brushing crumbs into a pile on the table in front of her, or organizing and then reorganizing her papers.

Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. She was loved by all who knew her and will always be loved and missed.

A memorial service and reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish.
