The deputy advised the man that there needed to be a self-defense element if he were to shoot someone and that the bean bag perpetrators likely did not pass muster on that test. The deputy suggested that law enforcement be sent to run the transients off, but the man complained that the transients would be gone by the time a deputy arrived. The man allegedly would not listen to the deputy, said that the trespassers were mentally tormenting him, and said that he might use his gun and let law enforcement sort out who to jail later. He was given advice to handle the situation differently, but allegedly told the deputy that he was going to handle the transients in his own way.
