SANDPOINT — Get ready to be Lost in the ‘50s, as Sandpoint takes things way back to the years of classic cruisers and the early days of rock ‘n’ roll — part of our annual, communitywide music, dance and just plain fun celebration.

While you’re out and about, check out the movies, concerts, dinner theatre and more on this packed weekend.

Thursday, May 19

Rock n’ Roll Heaven XII

Venue: Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Ave.

This Lost in the ‘50s event promises an explosive night of music that brings back memories of Elvis, Richie Valens, Jackie Wilson and more!

‘MCS All Stars’ recital

Venue: Panida Theater, 300 N. First Ave., in Sandpoint.

Time: 7 p.m., Thursday, May 19

Advanced student recital features violinists Bethany Carr and Nichole Reed, with additional performances by Alyce Ispirescu, Maleah Harshman, Max Reed, Keely Gray, Claudia Moots, Marta Matthews, Sophie Slater, Renee York, Jamie Langford, Andrew Lapadat and Cody Moore.

Lost in the ‘50s Car Parade & Street dance

Classic cars and hot rods take over Sandpoint, come join the fun and bring your dancin’ shoes!

Lost in the ‘50s show & dance

‘Swing Into Summer’ Dance

Come enjoy the fun of social dancing in Sandpoint, with a special flair for Lost in the ‘5os weekend. A swing dance lesson will be taught by a local professional instructor from 7- 8 pm, followed by general dancing, refreshments, door prizes, mixers, and a drawing for a month of free dance classes. Singles and couples are welcome. Wear sock hop attire if you desire!

Admission: $9 adults, $6 for USA Dance members and $5 teens. USA Dance events are alcohol and tobacco free.
