Woman rescued from teetering truck

A woman was shaken up but avoided any injury after her vehicle slid off Good Country Road on Wednesday morning and teetered on the edge of a steep embankment.
Smith Valley Fire Chief DC Haas said the Chevrolet pickup truck the woman was driving likely would have rolled if she had slid any more.
“She was in a predicament; it was balanced just right,” Haas said.
The initial dispatch call indicated the woman was keeping her foot on the brake to keep the truck from rolling.
Firefighters chained the truck to their engine and the woman was able to escape the vehicle five or six minutes after the crew arrived on scene.
Two tow trucks from Oh’s Towing pulled the vehicle away from the edge. Montana Highway Patrol and Flathead County Sheriff’s Office assisted during the incident.
Haas said the almost-wreck was a good reminder to buckle up.
“The important thing is to wear your seat belt,” Haas said. “That’s always the message.”
