FVCC graduation
Flathead Valley Community College’s spring commencement ceremony begins at 7 p.m. today in the Trade Center at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell.
Commencement speaker will be Mick Blodnick, president/chief executive officer of Glacier Bancorp Inc.
Music therapy
Jenna Justice from Frontier Hospice will give a presentation on music therapy at 10:45 a.m. today at the Kalispell Senior Center, 403 Second Ave. W. The public is invited.
Pancake breakfast
West Valley Volunteer Fire and Rescue hosts a pancake breakfast and open house from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the fire hall at 2412 Farm to Market Road in Kalispell.
The menu also includes eggs and Farm to Market sausage.
Swap meet
The Glacier Street Rod Association’s annual Swap Meet and Car Show is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Raceway Park near U.S. 93 north of Kalispell.
Bring your cars, pick ups, trailers, motorcycles, tractor, four-wheeler, boats, snowmobiles, RVs and automotive parts to the swap meet. Anything vehicle-related is welcome. Space is available for rent. The cost to sell vehicles is $10 per vehicle. There is no charge for show vehicles.

Amazing Race
The Sunburst Amazing Race gets under way at 9 a.m. Saturday at Depot Park in Kalispell. Tickets are $25 per team of two, available at Sunburst Mental Health, 2282 U.S. 93; or by calling 756-8721.
The race is a fundraiser for the Sunburst Crisis Fund which helps community members meet their immediate basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing and medications.
Spring Run-Off
The 18th annual Pete’s Spring Run-Off takes place Saturday at Peterson School, 1119 Second St. W. in Kalispell.
Events include a one-mile, 5K and 10K beginning at 9:30 a.m. Local fitness pro Dan Holguin will lead participants through a 15-minute body warm-up prior to the race. Register for the run at 406running.com or at the school office.
A carnival will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring a bounce house, bungee jumpers, climbing wall and more. Members of the Kalispell Police and Fire departments will be on hand. Food vendors will be on site and raffles will be held. All are welcome.

Volunteer Day
The public is invited to Glacier National Park Volunteer Associates’ annual Volunteer Day Saturday at the West Glacier Community Building in Glacier Park.
Following a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a short business meeting, those who wish can work on a variety of projects, including construction of an arch at Apgar Nature Center, exterior staining of buildings or helping at the Native Plant Nursery.

Thrift Haus sale
The Whitefish Soroptimist Thrift Haus has a summer extravaganza sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Thrift Haus, 303 First St. in Whitefish.
There will be a bag sale (fill a plastic grocery bag for $5) along with a sidewalk sale and other in-store specials.
All money raised will be donated to local nonprofit organizations with a focus on improving the lives of women and girls. The Thrift Haus is operated by volunteers who are members of Soroptimist International of Whitefish. For more information, call 862-3330.
Family Fun Day
Bigfork MOPS (mothers of Preschoolers) hosts a Flathead Family Fun Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bigfork School and Track.
There will be a variety of fun races for kids and adults from 10 to 11 a.m.
The day also features handmade arts and crafts, a silent auction, bounce house and bungee jumper, face painting, obstacle courses and a dunk tank. There will also be a basket raffle, root beer floats, bake sale and more. For more information, visit bigforkmops.com
Kids to Parks Day
Lone Pine State Park near Kalispell celebrates National Kids to Parks Day from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Kids of all ages are invited to play nature-themed activities and earn an official Montana State Parks Junior Ranger Certificate and badge. Meet at the Lone Pine State Park picnic shelter. The event is free and a fun way for families to celebrate state parks.

Custom cycle show
The Serious Motorcycle Enthusiast Group is having a custom motorcycle show from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Expo Building at the Flathead County Fairgrounds in Kalispell. Custom bikes and aftermarket vendors will be on hand. The family-friendly event also features live music, concessions, a biker bar and rider games. Admission is $10; with kids under 12 admitted free. The event is a supporter of the veterans food pantry.

Armed Forces Benefit
The fifth annual Armed Forces Benefit Banquet takes place Saturday at the Elks Lodge at 1820 U.S. 93 S. in Kalispell. A social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner by Vista Linda Catering at 6:30 p.m.
The evening includes live music and dancing, speakers, an auction and raffles. Leah Lindsay is emcee.

Walk MS Kalispell
Walk MS Kalispell will take place in Lawrence Park on Sunday in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Northwest Chapter.

Valley Voices
Valley Voices Community Choir hosts a fundraising gala and concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Glacier High School Performance Hall.
Special guests include Rob Quist, Andre Floyd, the Luke O’Connell Band, Tra Le Gael and others.
There will also be silent and live auctions for golfing, rafting and skiing trips, art work and more. Punch and homemade cheesecake will be served.
Advance tickets are $20, available at Super 1 Foods. Tickets are $25 at the door.
The concert is raising money toward the choir’s trip to New York in November to perform at Carnegie Hall.
‘Through Glacier Park’
Hungry Horse News editor and photographer Chris Peterson gives a talk titled “Through Glacier Park 1915-2015, A Centennial Celebration of a Classic Journey” at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Montana House in Apgar, Glacier Park.
Peterson will show photos of his 240-mile hiking trip last year retracing the 1915 journey of author Mary Roberts Rinehart. The talk is free; park entrance fee is required. Call 888-5393 to reserve a seat.
