The Idaho Department of Fish and Game was informed on May 16, 2016 by the Bureau of Fisheries and Regional fishery managers that by end of fishing May 20, 2016 adult Chinook salmon harvest objectives will be met for a portion of the Mainstem Clearwater River from the the Camas Prairie Railroad Bridge in Lewiston upstream to the Cherry Lane Bridge. The Bureau of fisheries recommends closing the Mainstream Clearwater River from the Camas Prairie Railroad Bridge in Lewiston upstream to the Cherry Lane Bridge to fishing for all Chinook salmon effetive the end of fishing on May 20, 2016. Pursuant to his authority under Idaho Code Section 36-106(e)(6)(A), the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Director hereby closes the Mainstem Clearwater River from Cherry Lane Bridge to fishing for Chinook salmon effective the end of fishing on May 20, 2016.
