MATTAWA — Seven schools from the ESD 105 region, including Mattawa Elementary, are among the recipients of the 7th annual Washington Achievement Awards.
The Washington Avhievement Award is described by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction as “the state’s highest honor” for its public schools.
The Washington Achievement Awards are sponsored by the OSPI and by the Washington State Board of Education. Award winners are selected on calculations based on student test scores collected statewide over three years, and (for high schools) on graduation rates.
Mattawa Elementary was recognized for the growth in its math program.
