Noreen Wood and the Valley Voices kick off the Gala Concert with a performance of “New York, New York” by the choir members on Sunday, May 22, at Glacier High School. The concert and auction was a fundraiser for the 40 members of the choir who are going to perform at Carnegie Hall. The choir will be raising money until November with the goal of raising $100,000 to take care of the travel expenses. “We really didn’t have a set goal with the Gala,” said Choir Director Allyson Kuechmann. “We were just trying to see how much money we could raise within the community and with our musical friends there to encourage us.” People interested in helping to the choir can still purchase raffle tickets for the free trip to New York to hear the Valley Voices at Carnegie. Tickets can be purchased from any choir member or by contacting Allyson Kuechmann via their website: http://valleyvoiceschoir.com/ The raffle will be drawn at the ice cream social at the Conrad Mansion on July 4th.
