MOSES LAKE — Two convicted felons from Moses Lake were arrested on Friday after guns and ammunition were reportedly found inside a Moses Lake home they were held up in.
On Friday, an officer with the Moses Lake Police Department developed information that Zebulon Gwyn, 21, of Moses Lake, was at a home in the 4300 block of Road K. 1 Northeast with Jacob Marchand, 27, of Moses Lake, according to Capt. David Sands. The officer received information that Gwyn and Marchand were convicted felons and numerous firearms were inside the house.
The officer and deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Road K.1 residence in an attempt to arrest Gwyn, who had a valid Department of Corrections arrest warrant. The Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team was activated and responded to the scene to assist with serving the search warrant, which was obtained when the suspects would not come of the house.
TRT members reportedly used flash bang grenades to get the suspects to come out. Gwyn and Marchand were eventually taken into custody. Police reportedly recovered a Walther P99 9mm handgun, a Springfield XDM .40 caliber handgun and ammunition inside the home. The Springfield XDM .40 caliber handgun was believed stolen out of Grant County, said Sands.
Gwyn was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and resisting arrest. Marchand was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and rendering criminal assistance.
