Mineral Community Hospital maybe able to fix broken bones, but when it comes to lawn mowers, that’s another matter. Their lawn mower came down with a bad case of ‘frozen front axle’ and because of it’s age, parts have been difficult to retrieve, according to MCH, Monte Turner.

Also, due to a tight budget, local lawn service is not an option. As a result the lawn, which includes a rich supply of dandelions, had gotten a bit unruly. “Team Grassy” to the rescue!

Angie Mellen, CPhT, told Turner that team members would be meeting in the evening on May 18, with their mowers to ‘get ‘er done’. It took a couple of hours, but they finished the job, just in time for the hospital’s annual health fair which was held on Saturday at the elementary school gym.

Turner said that they hope to find some money to purchase a new lawn mower. He said it will need to be a heavy duty model in order to handle the job.
