High school French students earn top ranks

Four Glacier High School students have ranked in the top 30 nationwide and broke into the top five at the state level in the French competition, Le Grand Concours.

Senior Caleb Hill and juniors Corinne Bernheim, Tyler Brockman and Matt Martini participated in the competition that tests students’ comprehension through written, oral and audio evaluations.

Brockman ranked 27th in the nation and fourth in the state. Both Bernheim and Martini ranked 28th in the nation and fifth in the state. Hill ranked 30th in the nation and second in the state. More than 85,000 students throughout the nation competed this year.

8. Seniors Sarah Stratton and Katie Christensen, junior Emma Schlodfeldt, sophomore Jami Seymour.

9. Senior Dakota Long, junior Téa Mergenthaler.

10. Senior Andrew Klamecki; juniors Sidney Whitlock, Brandon Ly, Meghan Levanen, Libby Hill and Carley Denton.
