Whitefish Mountain Resort featured in Warren Miller film

Whitefish Mountain Resort has a feature spot in this year’s Warren Miller film “Here, There & Everywhere.”
The Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation will bring the film to Whitefish for two showings Nov. 4 and 5 at the O’Shaughnessy Center. The 67th installment includes a segment shot at the resort featuring Tyler Ceccanti and Colin Collins night skiing among snow ghosts.
Ceccanti and Collins, as well as Montana native and snowmobile athlete Keith Curtis, also tour western Montana’s Glacier Country and hunker down like Warren Miller once did in a teardrop trailer, mixing it up with night skiing, snowmobiling and daytime backcountry shredding. Glacier Country Tourism is a main sponsor of this year’s film.
Additionally this year’s film brings back the original ski bum and filmmaker Warren Miller himself in on-screen interviews as he spins tales of the past as only Warren can do.
This is the production company’s 67th film.
“For the first time in a dozen years, we are thrilled to return to the screen with the support and inclusion of the patriarch of winter stoke, Warren Miller,” said managing director Andy Hawk. “This year’s project has been an incredibly rewarding opportunity for the athletes, film crew and staff who were able to work directly with him again.”
Big Mountain was featured in Warren Miller’s 2013 film, “Ticket to Ride.” The film highlighted the mountain’s tree skiing.
Attendees at the Whitefish showings will have a chance to win amazing raffle prizes, gear, and ski getaways, including an all-inclusive weeklong ski trip for two to Switzerland. With FVSEF once again playing host to this annual event, proceeds will benefit the non-profit that has served competitive youth skiing in the Flathead Valley since 1974.
Tickets are available online in advance for $10 at fvsefwarrenmiller.brownpapertickets.com or at the door for $15.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with show time at 7 p.m.
