MOSES LAKE — Things are getting down to the wire in the election season and Grant County Commissioner District No. 2 candidates Tom Taylor, R-Moses Lake, and Nathan Pack, R-Moses Lake, have had thousands of dollars donated from supporters in hopes of seeing them become victorious come election day.
Taylor, a former Moses Lake Fire Department chief, and Pack, a businessman and owner of the Moses Lake-based Pack’s Taxi and Delivery, are competing to secure the seat that will be left vacant after Carolann Swartz retires in January. Pack holds a sizable lead over Taylor when it comes to total cash contributions, as the businessman has taken in $14,250 thus far, compared to Taylor’s $7,175.
Both of the candidates have spent significant amounts on advertising, signs and other campaign-related costs. Pack has spent $12,043.55 to date, while Taylor has spent a total of $8,020.87.
