DUI driver crashes into Surf 'n Slide

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was allegedly intoxicated Thursday night when he plowed his vehicle through a wall at the Surf ‘n Slide Water Park in Moses Lake.

Witnesses reported seeing Edgar Diaz-Roman, 24, of Moses Lake, heading south on Cedar Street at a high rate of speed. Diaz-Roman’s vehicle reportedly left the road, crossed the Surf ‘n Slide Water Park’s parking lot and plowed into the water park’s building, coming to a rest partially inside the building, according to the Moses Lake Police Department on Friday.

The crash caused substantial damages to the building and Diaz-Roman’s vehicle. Diaz-Roman was not injured in the crash. He was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident and was arrested and cited for DUI.
