Multiple national, state, and local races will be decided on Tuesday, with eligible voters in Kootenai County heading to their polling locations from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. According to local elections officials, many have already taken advantage of early-voting opportunities.

Absentee ballots must be received at the county elections office, located at 1808 N. Third St. in Coeur d'Alene, by 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Phillips said a total of 13,565 absentee ballots were mailed out to county residents.

Early voting at the county elections office, which was open from Oct. 17 through Nov. 4, saw a total of 8,534 eligible voters participate.

Registered voters should bring a photo ID with them to cast their ballot, or they may sign a Personal Identity Affidavit instead.
