Local man dies in Martin City crash

A man died in a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Martin City. 

According to a report filed with Montana Highway Patrol dispatch, a 2003 Ford Explorer exited a private driveway then rolled down a steep embankment off Spotted Bear Road at 1:30 a.m. 

A 74-year-old Martin City man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to the report, roadways were bare and dry at the time of the accident, however drugs are suspected as a possible factor.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. No one else was injured in the accident.
