The Flathead County Attorney’s Office has filed charges against a Kalispell man accused of stealing a motorcycle in July 2015, and storing it in a building where meth was being manufactured.

Saylen Taylor James Nielsen, 29, is wanted on a $40,000 warrant after authorities charged him last week with felony operation of a clandestine laboratory and felony theft.

According to court documents, a storage unit renter called Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to Conrad Drive on July 29, 2015, after she became concerned that property inside belonging to Nielsen and another man might be stolen. The other man told investigators that most of the property was Nielsen’s, including a motorcycle.

The 2012 Honda motorcycle had been stolen. Officers also found evidence of a meth lab. The evidence was shipped to the Montana State Crime Lab, where scientists determined that it appeared that the items collected had been used to brew meth.

An arraignment date has not yet been set.
