A Kalispell man is facing a felony assault with a weapon charge after he allegedly threatened people with a knife at a Stag Lane home on Nov. 9.
Ilya Khmelev, 20, remained in jail on Wednesday, with bail set at $25,000. According to court documents, deputies were called to the residence because of a physical disturbance in which Khmelev allegedly made a stabbing motion with a kitchen knife toward another resident.
Others in the home subdued Khmelev until officers arrived. Those at the home told officers they were afraid Khmelev would hurt someone during the alleged incident.
Khmelev allegedly was uncooperative and resisted arrest. He is set to be arraigned on Nov. 23.
