OTHELLO — Othello police are searching for two males who were reportedly armed when they robbed a man in Othello on Monday.

Early Monday morning the Othello Police Department received a report of an armed robbery in the 200 block of East Juniper Street. Officers and deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office discovered a 27-year-old man had been approached outside of his Juniper Street residence by two armed males, who were reportedly demanding cash, according to the OPD.

The victim cooperated with the two assailants and they followed him into his residence, where members of the man’s family were reportedly forced into a bathroom as the suspects retrieved cash and later left the residence. The victim could not give police the direction the suspects left in and officers could not locate the two males.

Both of the suspects are described as being around 5 feet 7 inches tall with slim builds. One of the suspects is reported to be between 20-25 and “stuttered” as he spoke broken Spanish. He is said to have been wearing a black jacket and light brown pants during the robbery. The second suspect is reported to be 16 or 17 and was wearing a black hoodie with blue jeans during the robbery. The second suspect reportedly did not speak during the robbery.

A reward is being offered for information on the identities of the suspects. If you have any information contact the Othello Police Department at 509-488-3314.
