A 12th Avenue West resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department after finding an unfamiliar mailbox and mailbox post in her backyard. Officers were able to return the items to the owner.

A Fourth Avenue East North resident told police that someone else’s wallet had been found in a mailbox. The wallet was turned in to police until the owner was contacted to retrieve it.

A caller told police that a man, who the caller suspected was intoxicated, had gotten into a vehicle and drove off on Nucleus Avenue. The caller said the man was allegedly “stumbling and seemed very drunk.” Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

A caller told police there was a man sitting in a parked vehicle in a parking lot on Ninth Street West who seemed suspicious. The caller said it “looked like he had something in his jacket” and was wearing a knife on his hip. The caller thought the man was sitting in the parking lot for an unusually long period of time and requested extra patrols.

Someone flagged down an officer to report a theft from a vehicle on Second Avenue East North.

A Colorado Avenue resident told the Whitefish Police Department that a male and female were outside in the middle of a physical altercation. Officers were unable to locate the suspects when they arrived.

An O’Brien Avenue resident called police to report a vehicle blocking the property’s driveway. The offending vehicle reportedly left before further action could be taken.
