Author Polly Buckingham to give reading at NIC

North Idaho College’s literary magazine Trestle Creek Review and the NIC English Club are presenting a reading by Polly Buckingham, author of “The Expense of a View,” from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Writing Center, Lee Hall Annex. The reading is free and open to the public.

“The Expense of a View” was named the winner of the 2016 Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction. Buckingham lives in Spokane and teaches at Eastern Washington University. She is the founding editor of StringTown Press and associate director of EWU’s Willow Springs Books. Author of A Year of Silence (Jeanne Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award 2014), her poetry and short stories have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Threepenny Review and elsewhere.
