MOSES LAKE — Columbia Basin residents can give back to the community this weekend and the next without even getting out of their cars, as the Unchained Brotherhood Motorcycle Club will be holding its annual Christmas toy drive in Moses Lake.

The drive will be held from 9-4 p.m. on Dec. 3 and Dec. 10 in the Penhallurick’s True Value parking lot, 711 N. Stratford Rd, where club members will be setting up their collection drop-off point. The club will be accepting new and gently used toys, as well as cash donations, which will in turn be donated to the Moses Lake Food Bank for redistribution. All monies collected will be used to buy toys, which will also be turned over to the Moses Lake Food Bank.

In addition to club members, Santa will be on hand for pictures on one of the club’s Harley Davidson motorcycles. Unchained Brotherhood members have had past struggles with substance abuse and addiction, and have taken from family members and their communities, according to a previous Columbia Basin Herald report. The club gives members a chance to make up for some of the wrongs in their past.

The club has a mission to “provide an atmosphere of recovery and recreation for male bikers who choose not to fight drug addiction alone.”
