A convicted felon is back behind bars, less than three months after he was released from federal prison, for allegedly committing an armed robbery in downtown Kalispell on Nov. 23.

Danny Lee Warner, Jr., 42, was charged with felony robbery after authorities say two men claimed that he pulled a gun on them at the back exit of the First Avenue Casino. According to court documents, Warner allegedly held the gun to one man’s chest and the other man’s head and told them to give him their money and car keys.

Warner allegedly also took cigarettes and lighters before he took off. Later, one of the victims called police after he allegedly found Warner in Glacier Park VFW Bar and Casino in Kalispell. Warner was allegedly found in possession of a semi-automatic handgun, lighters, cigarettes, cash and a set of car keys. The witnesses identified Warner as the man who had allegedly mugged them.

Bail in that case has been set at $75,000. Warner is also being held for federal authorities. According to online records, he was released from federal custody on Oct. 6.

Warner will be arraigned on Dec. 8.
