Online grammar troll goes too far

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a report from a man who called from Whitefish to complain that someone had harassed him online over a typo that he posted on Craigslist. The man had corrected the typo, but the troll had found the man and his wife’s contact info and continued to send them vulgar messages. An officer was dispatched.
A deputy received a report from someone who stated that an adult man had been selling meth and marijuana in the presence of his 8-year-old daughter. The child was located safe at school and a deputy could find no evidence of the father’s whereabouts.
Someone reported that a pistol had been stolen from Lodgepole Lane.
A vehicle was broken into on Sleepy Hollow Road and several items were taken. Extra patrol was scheduled as a result.
A person on Whalebone Drive reported that a black bear had gotten into the garbage.
Kalispell Police investigated a call after someone reported that he or she had seen a truck pull up to a camper that was parked in a parking lot off Hutton Ranch Road, and load a generator. The person was concerned the incident might be a theft in progress. Police were unable to locate the potential victim of the possible crime. A call came in later from a man who thought the camper might be involved in drug activity. The caller said that the camper had been in the parking lot for three days with a lot of human traffic to and from the vehicle. The caller said he had approached one of the people staying in the recreational vehicle, and that they had asked him what he wanted because “we have everything.”
A business reported that someone had tried to cash a fraudulent check at an establishment on West Center Street.
A woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from her vehicle while she shopped on Hutton Ranch Road.
A woman called to report that a man had allegedly been letting her stay with him, but suddenly decided that his kindness could not continue unless she had sex with him. The woman left, and the man told her later that he had taken all of her belongings and donated them to a thrift store. A deputy determined that the dispute was a civil one.
Child Protective Services escorted a 9-year-old girl home after she showed up on someone’s lawn on Second Avenue West. The girl said she had gotten lost while walking to her father’s home.
A man warned police that any reports of a man with a rifle on South Main Street would likely be in regards to him killing some pesky pigeons for a pest control company.
A mom called police after she found two bows at her home that she knew did not belong to her son. The woman said she had talked to the son, but still wanted to speak to an officer to see if the bows might be those that were recently reported stolen.
Whitefish Police fielded a call at 10:03 p.m. about someone who was unhappy with the volume of the music being played at Oktoberfest. An officer informed the caller that the band was winding down for the night anyway.
Columbia Falls Police responded to Nucleus Avenue, where a man had allegedly been sleeping in a parked, running vehicle for more than an hour. An officer investigated and secured the vehicle, which might have been stolen from Evergreen.
A woman reported that she had won $350 from a lottery ticket, but the seller told her that the establishment could not cash out the winnings. The woman came back the next morning, and the store owner allegedly took the woman’s ticket without paying her.
A man was escorted from a restaurant by an officer and told not to return after someone complained that the man appeared to be drunk, had his pants around his ankles, and was offering customers marijuana.
