Injectors, car show booths deserved credit
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 9 years, 6 months AGO
I saw the picture on the front page of the newspaper (Sept. 13) of kids building items at The Home Depot booth. It would have been nice if the paper could have given a little more coverage to the photo. The Home Depot had more than 200 kids build items under their supervision. The whole concept of the booths was to introduce industrial arts to our youth and those looking for a career change. The Busy Beaver and Spartan Arc & Panel closed their shops for the day to introduce to the public information about their trade. To our knowledge (the Injectors), no other car show has ever done anything like this. It was promoted as “Education Alley.”
The Injectors are a local car club that contributes much time and money to local charities. I know there are many local groups that do this, and this is one of the reasons I live here. The Injectors, the 7 Bee Band, and those manning the booths gave much to the community and deserved a little credit. All profits will be going to local charities. Good news is always nice to read.
